Location Services is about knowing where you actually are — mentally and emotionally. Tinashe admitted she'd drifted so far from her own instincts that she was 'lying to herself.' She'd lost track of where she was in the relationship and what she actually felt versus what she was hoping to feel. The song was a way of turning Location Services back on — checking in honestly with where she was and calling it out.
