App Permissions controls what you allow different areas of your life to access — the boundaries between identity, work, and money. Kim Vaccarella had an offer to let an outside company take majority control of her brand. Saying no was an act of setting a hard permission boundary: money could come in, but control could not go out. The deal she eventually accepted — a 40% stake with her maintaining majority — reflected exactly that boundary being held.
