Wi-Fi is about the invisible networks of connection that keep you linked to the people who matter. Bob Byrd had been disconnected twice in one day — cut off by his classmates and his teacher at school, and then convinced that he had severed his connection to his mother by breaking her statue. His mother crawling through mud to reach him was a physical demonstration that the connection was still live, still strong, and not dependent on any object or any behavior to stay intact.
