Anonymous Woman and the Secret She Swallowed for Thirty Years

High fit

Storage is what she was managing — badly — for most of her life. She described her method explicitly: squeeze everything into the smallest ball possible, swallow it down, and pretend it doesn't exist. She did this with the assault, with her husband's affairs, with her own rage and grief. Her storage was so overpacked that it eventually caused a system-wide failure. Therapy was essentially the process of going through everything she had stored and finally sorting it.
