Lexen Pamashuki and the Goodbye She Didn't See Coming
Location Services is about knowing where you actually are — emotionally, mentally, in time. For the entire final month in Bhutan, Lexen Pamashuki's Location Services were essentially off. She was physically present in the village but emotionally ahead of or behind the moment — busy with cousins, not fully registering what was happening. The image of her grandmother following the car barefoot turned Location Services back on hard. Suddenly Lexen knew exactly where she was: in the last moment of this life, watching it recede.
