Travis Barker had given touring essentially unlimited permissions — it could access his time, his presence, his emotional bandwidth, his sobriety. The conflict he felt was the system signaling that too many things were running with full access and something important — being a dad — was getting starved of resources. Getting sober and bringing family on tour was his way of rewriting the permissions.
