Restore is about recovering a previous version of yourself — habits, strengths, or ways of being that got buried. When Star Spider left the apartment and wrote to her mother saying 'I'm so sorry, what have I done?', she was initiating a Restore. Her mother's reply — 'Thank God, you're here again' — confirmed that the old Star was still recognized, still retrievable. Over the following years, Star slowly rebuilt her relationships, her writing, her curiosity, and her sense of wonder — all things that had existed before the cult but had been buried under seven years of controlled degradation.
