App Permissions control what different areas of life are allowed to access. For most of Karl-Anthony Towns's early career, basketball had permission to access everything — his identity, his worth, his sense of meaning. Over time, he pulled that permission back. He stopped letting the sport define who he was as a person, and started granting that access only to the areas that actually held meaning for him: family, community, love, and service.
