Cheech Marin and the Swimming Pool Divide
Location Services gave Cheech Marin the ability to track where he was not just physically, but socially and culturally. When his family moved from South Central to Granada Hills, Cheech became acutely aware that he had crossed into territory where the rules were different. By counting swimming pools and observing the demographics, he mapped this new world and understood his position in it as an outsider who didn't belong.
