Anushirvan and the Walking Dead
Brightness controls how much light Anushirvan brings to what he's looking at. After treating hundreds of wounded protesters shot by his own government, he can no longer bring any brightness to his reality - he can't watch normal entertainment or pretend things aren't terrible. But by watching The Walking Dead, he found a way to see his dark reality as comparatively brighter than total apocalypse.
