Accessibility is about adjusting your environment so you can succeed — changing the setup, not yourself. Marisa Januzzi Thomas didn't become less awkward or more naturally social. She found a setup — the truck, the music, the slow cruise — that made connection easy and low-pressure. The ice cream truck was an accessibility accommodation for someone who loved people but didn't know how to reach them. It gave her a role, a reason to be there, and a built-in excuse for the interaction.
