Gael and the Birthday That Was Never About Joy
Location Services tracks where you actually are — mentally, emotionally, in time. Gael built a birthday tradition specifically designed to answer that question: who do I have in my life? Where do I want to go? What changed in the last year? Before the shift, birthdays surfaced a vague sadness but gave him no actual read on where he was. Now the day functions as a deliberate self-check. He uses it to get an accurate fix on his current position, not just feel bad about it.
