Restart is about pausing and beginning again with intention rather than reaction. Daniel Norwood had been in pure reaction mode since the shooting — fighting guards, screaming about human rights, begging to die. When he finally went still in that cell and stopped swinging at everything, it was the first intentional pause of the entire ordeal. From there, he rebuilt — stopped drinking, went to counseling, started showing up for his kids.
