Safe Mode

Safe Mode is when you temporarily run only the essentials because your system feels overloaded. Just like a phone that's glitching or slowing down, you close extra applications, reduce background noise, and stop adding new demands so nothing crashes. It's not about solving everything or pretending nothing's wrong — it's about stabilizing. You lower expectations, simplify the day, and protect your energy until your system feels steady again.

Kayla and the Sleep Paralysis Years

High fit

Safe Mode is about running only the essentials when your system feels overloaded. During her worst sleep paralysis years, Kayla's response was to reduce demands and seek the simplest form of stability available — sleeping in her mom's room. That was Safe Mode in action: stripping down to the minimum needed to feel okay. Over time, she stopped needing that fallback, which means her baseline stability improved enough that Safe Mode wasn't required every night.
