Parental Controls is about whether you default to how you were raised — or in this context, how an industry raised you — versus choosing who you want to be. The food and beverage industry installs certain expectations early: take the terms, compromise on ingredients, accept the Faustian bargain. Ben Goodwin's story is partly about recognizing those inherited defaults and overriding them. He chose not to just become what the industry expected him to become.
