Update is about being willing to install new ways of thinking, even when the current version feels like enough. The younger Damon John was running on hustle and vision — a working system in many ways — but one that had a critical gap. Financial literacy wasn't installed. Looking back, Damon identified that gap clearly: not updating that part of his operating system cost him in ways he couldn't see while he was in it.
