Force Quit
When a specific thought, worry, or emotion keeps looping, you intentionally stop feeding it.
Pam and the Book — Writing Her Way Out of the Past
Force Quit describes what finishing the book ultimately accomplished for Pam. The childhood abuse, the five personalities, the decades of shame and silence — these had been looping in her system for her entire adult life. The act of writing the book and declaring herself done was a deliberate Force Quit on that loop. When Pam said "I am done with her. I am done with that part of my life," she wasn't being casual — she was intentionally stopping the process that had been running in the background since she was a child.
