Battery Level is about energy reserves and what drains or refuels you. Cynthia recognized — out loud and without irony — that her home life drained her battery faster than months at sea. The ship, despite being a deployment zone, was actually recharging her by removing the constant draw of household responsibility. Her battery ran higher out here than it did at home.
