Background Processes
The fears, survival patterns, and old logic that keep running in your mind whether you notice them or not. Some were installed by you, some by your environment, some by people who raised you. This setting is not about stopping them — it is about whether you even know they are there.
Mary Mallon and the Island Prison
Background Processes are the old patterns and survival logic running beneath the surface. Mary Mallon's core background process was: 'I feel fine, therefore I am fine.' That logic had served her well her whole life. It was installed by lived experience — you get sick, you feel sick, you recover. But now it was running in a situation where it no longer applied, and she couldn't see it. Her private lab tests, her lawsuit, her decision to go back to cooking — all of it was driven by that same background process firing over and over.
