Force Quit

When a specific thought, worry, or emotion keeps looping, you intentionally stop feeding it.

Travis Barker and the Plane Crash Recovery

High fit

Force Quit is the intentional act of stopping a loop that keeps running. Travis Barker had been replaying the crash — consciously and unconsciously — for two decades. The breathwork sessions were essentially force-quitting that loop, letting him cry through it and release it rather than just suppress it. When he finally told Courtney to book a flight without telling him, he was force-quitting the deliberation loop that always let him talk himself out of going.
