Safe Mode

Safe Mode is when you temporarily run only the essentials because your system feels overloaded. Just like a phone that's glitching or slowing down, you close extra applications, reduce background noise, and stop adding new demands so nothing crashes. It's not about solving everything or pretending nothing's wrong — it's about stabilizing. You lower expectations, simplify the day, and protect your energy until your system feels steady again.

Nara Smith and the Fourth Baby She Wasn't Ready For

High fit

Safe Mode is about running only the essentials when your system is overloaded. Nara Smith did the opposite of Safe Mode after Fawny's birth — she stayed in full operation: cookbook shoots, travel, content, nursing, managing multiple children. She describes it herself as 'autopilot just to get through.' The internal shift she arrived at later was understanding that Safe Mode was what she needed and didn't give herself: permission to close extra applications, lower expectations, and stabilize before adding new demands. She now encourages other women to do what she didn't.
