When a specific thought, worry, or emotion keeps looping, you intentionally stop feeding it.

Chuck Surack and Choosing Not to Participate

High fit

Force Quit is about intentionally stopping a thought or worry that keeps looping. Chuck Surack spent six months in a cycle of stress, checking what was happening in the world, trying to craft statements, absorbing the reaction, and looping back into anxiety. When he stood up in September and declared he was choosing not to participate, he was force-quitting a mental loop that had been running continuously for half a year. He stopped feeding it and redirected toward the work.
