Do Not Disturb
Your ability to intentionally block out the world when needed. Used for recovery, focus, or boundary-setting.
Jonathan and the Sober Performance
Do Not Disturb helped Jonathan create boundaries around his recovery process rather than being completely available to every anxiety and external pressure. Instead of being constantly available to his fear and the old habit of reaching for alcohol, he protected his commitment to sobriety even when it meant sitting with uncomfortable feelings. He was learning when to block out the noise of anxiety and stay present with his authentic self.
