Alex Cooper recognized she had a TikTok habit that was cycling on autopilot — she'd open it, scroll, feel worse, repeat. After noticing the direct connection between scrolling and her mood tanking, she started physically removing the app from her phone after every use, breaking the loop rather than just trying to resist it mid-scroll.
