Screensaver was configured when the speaker learned to control what their mind defaulted to during mental downtime. Instead of letting catastrophizing thoughts and rumination take over whenever nothing was actively happening, they installed neutral, steady thoughts through distanced self-talk techniques. The screensaver switched from automatic criticism to intentional, calmer mental content when their mind wasn't occupied with specific tasks.
