Hotspot
When you become the connection for others — sharing your energy, knowledge, or stability so others can get online.
Joe and the Thanksgiving Morning
Hotspot captured Joe's shift from complete isolation to reaching out for connection. For years, he'd been in Keeping to Yourself mode - handling his pain alone, burning bridges, pushing people away through his addiction. When he woke up that Thanksgiving morning and realized the drugs and alcohol weren't working anymore, he had to adjust his Hotspot setting. Moving to Sharing Energy meant making that phone call to a sober person and showing up to a meeting. It was the difference between hoarding his pain in isolation versus opening up and letting others help carry it.
