Anti-Alias
Whether you flatten the world into binaries, or allow for nuance, complexity, and blurry edges.
Jaren Egga and the Poem That Wasn't Her Father's
Anti-Alias controls whether you can tolerate complexity and blurry edges, or need everything sorted into clean categories. Jaren Egga went into this gift with everything resolved in her mind — the poem had a clear author, a clear meaning, a clean emotional line to her father. When that certainty collapsed, she had to sit with permanent ambiguity: she will never know who wrote the poem. The shift she made was turning Anti-Alias up — allowing the story to stay unresolved and still finding value in it.
